CHS South, part of Prospere Learning Trust, is seeking a Teacher of Design Technology to join our team from 1 January 2027 to 28 February 2028. The role covers Design Technology and Food across a KS3-4 range, with expectations to deliver outstanding lessons and contribute to school improvement.

The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge, effective planning and assessment, and be able to work collaboratively within the department and wider school community.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS and suitable subject knowledge.
• Experience delivering Design Technology and Food lessons.
• Experience in Key Stage 3-4 and school contexts.

Responsabilités

• Promote academic progress, wellbeing and positive behaviour of all students.
• Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons across Design Technology.
• Assess, monitor and report progress with timely interventions.
• Collaborate within the team to support school vision.
• Reflect on practice and engage in professional development.
• Support curriculum development, examinations and school improvement priorities.
• Participate in meetings, duties and enrichment activities as required.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers and external partners.
