A Design and Technology teaching opportunity in Dudley is available as a full-time post starting ASAP, covering KS3 and KS4 with potential KS5 opportunities.

You will deliver engaging lessons that blend design theory with practical activities, helping students develop technical knowledge and creative confidence. The role includes planning, assessment and collaboration with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology is required.
• Ability to deliver practical lessons and maintain workshop safety is essential.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills are needed.
• The role requires inspiring creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving in students.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and student achievement is required.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons.
• Teach design processes, material properties and production techniques.
• Organise workshop activities and ensure safety of tools and equipment.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and high expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and support curriculum delivery.
