Design Technology Teacher Birmingham & Solihull
170- 220 per day November 2026 Starts Flexible & Long-Term Opportunities
Are you a qualified Design Technology Teacher looking for a new opportunity after October half-term?
Aspire People is actively recruiting DT specialists across Birmingham and Solihull, with secondary teaching opportunities available from Monday 2 November and throughout the remainder of the academic year.
Design Technology is one of our priority recruitment areas, and we're keen to connect with teachers who have experience in Resistant Materials, Product Design, Engineering, Graphics, Textiles or Food Technology.
Whether you're an experienced teacher looking for a change, an ECT starting your career or someone seeking more flexibility through supply teaching, we'd like to hear from you.
We recruit for daily supply, short-term cover, regular weekly bookings and long-term Design Technology teaching positions, alongside potential permanent opportunities.
Depending on your specialist area and the school's requirements, assignments may involve teaching Design Technology across KS3, delivering GCSE courses at KS4 or supporting specialist vocational and technical qualifications.
Longer-term positions may include planning, marking, assessment, practical project work and preparing pupils for examinations and coursework deadlines.
We are particularly interested in teachers who are confident working in practical classroom environments and can promote safe, purposeful learning.
You will need QTS or QTLS, relevant Design Technology subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons across the secondary age range.
Experience in one or more DT specialisms, including Resistant Materials, Product Design, Engineering, Graphics, Textiles or Food Technology, would be valuable.
Strong classroom management, an understanding of workshop safety and the ability to support pupils with different learning needs are important.
We welcome applications from experienced Design Technology Teachers and Early Career Teachers.
We offer competitive daily rates of 170- 220, weekly pay and access to secondary schools across Birmingham and Solihull.
Whether you're interested in occasional supply days, a regular weekly timetable or a full-time long-term teaching position, we'll work with you to identify opportunities that suit your experience and availability.
Our secondary recruitment team will take your specialist area, preferred locations and career ambitions into account when discussing suitable assignments.
