Main Purpose of the Post

To provide high-quality teaching to equip students with the knowledge, understanding, and confidence to be successful at Design Technology, taught at KS3 and KS4.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with syllabuses and schemes of work, addressing individual learning needs and school objectives.
• Attend parent evenings and other school events.
• Regularly mark and record students' work to monitor progress.
• Ensure students achieve their potential through performance monitoring and intervention strategies when needed.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with various audiences.
• Stay updated with examination board requirements.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Manage classroom behavior and command respect according to school policy.
• Maintain a conducive learning environment and manage classroom resources.
• Display high standards of motivation, self-esteem, and classroom displays.
• Adhere to Health & Safety standards and stay informed of relevant regulations.
