I am working with a secondary school based in St. Albans that requires a full-time Design Technology Teacher starting September 2024.

Full-time/0.8 FTE

Start date: September 2024 (July for ECTs)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher to join our Design & Technology Department. Design & Technology is a popular option at our school, with a prominent profile. More information about our strengths can be found on our website.

The successful candidate will teach Design Technology at GCSE and ideally at A-level. They will also teach KS3 on a carousel basis, so the ability to teach all D&T disciplines is beneficial (the department has expertise in Food Preparation).

Must Have:

• Relevant degree in Design & Technology or a related field
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Design & Technology at GCSE level
• Ability to teach Design & Technology at A-level
• Proficiency in teaching various D&T disciplines at KS3
• Experience in Food Preparation (beneficial, but not essential)
• Strong classroom management skills
