Full Time

Bristol - Hybrid - minimum 3 days on site per week

Our hybrid working model allows staff to balance office, home, or remote work, with a typical minimum of three days onsite for collaboration and specific activities.

What you will be doing:

Design Safety engineers influence design by understanding potential failures and their impact on system operation, analyzing designs, and providing feedback to ensure safety and reliability standards are met. Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating design concepts for potential failures, hazards, and defining mitigation strategies.
  • Assessing component designs to identify failure modes and effects, using techniques like FMECA.
  • Identifying critical parts and systems through detailed risk analysis.
  • Performing failure analysis using deterministic and probabilistic methods.
  • Analyzing risks related to human/system interaction, including Human Factors.
  • Producing Safety Case reports.
  • Operating a FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis & Corrective Action System).
