The Guildhall School of Music & Drama seeks a dedicated professional to provide technical support for productions. The Guildhall School of Music & Drama is a vibrant, international community of young musicians, actors, and theatre technicians in the heart of the City of London. We produce outstanding graduates whose talents light up stages and concert platforms worldwide. The School offers professional training at junior, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, along with a substantial programme of performances, including concerts, recitals, plays, operas, and musicals open to the public.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with lecturers in Scenic Art, Construction, and Props, providing high-quality technical support and maintenance for Guildhall productions and teaching. You will ensure the highest levels of service to staff, students, and venue users while adhering to safe working procedures. Responsibilities include preparing workshop spaces and materials, supervising their use for teaching and production activities, and assisting in constructing and painting props and scenery.
A good knowledge of all three Design Realisation disciplines is desirable, with professional experience in at least one area (props, scenic art, or construction) being essential.
