The Guildhall School of Music & Drama is a vibrant, international community of young musicians, actors, and theatre technicians in the heart of the City of London. We produce outstanding graduates whose talents light up stages and concert platforms worldwide. The School offers professional training at junior, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, along with a substantial programme of performances, including concerts, recitals, plays, operas, and musicals open to the public.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with lecturers in Scenic Art, Construction, and Props to provide high-quality technical support and maintenance for Guildhall productions and teaching. Responsibilities include assisting in workshop preparation, supervising workspace use, constructing and painting props and scenery, and ensuring safety and efficiency in all tasks.
You will inspire students, act as a professional role model, supervise student activities, demonstrate techniques, and maintain workshop supplies and equipment. A good knowledge of all three Design Realisation disciplines is desirable, with professional experience in at least one area (props, scenic art, or construction) being essential.
