Construction Marine Ltd. in Leeds seeks an experienced Project Manager (Design) to lead civil engineering design coordination across temporary and permanent works. You will manage high-volume reactive projects within the Civils framework, ensuring safety culture and compliant design delivery.

The role emphasizes client relationship management, design accountability, and collaborative leadership within a family‑owned firm with 40+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in rail sector.
• 2+ years’ experience delivering and managing railway projects.
• 3+ years in delivery and management of Civil Engineering projects.
• Experience coaching and developing team members.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and interfaces for temporary and permanent works across civil engineering projects.
• Interpret client remits to define design scope and liaise with sub‑contract design consultants.
• Place orders with design consultancies and monitor fee proposals and performance.
• Monitor design progress against contract programmes and provide client updates.
• Review sub‑contract designer deliverables for compliance with client remit and standards.
• Lead progress meetings with clients and maintain design progress in internal systems.
