Job summary

NWG (Northumbrian Water Group) seeks a design-focused professional to deliver completed designs in line with scheme programmes and company procedures. You will support the Project Manager, facilitate the design process and keep projects moving from concept to completion.

You will manage project files, liaise with teams and external stakeholders, and prepare design packages that meet CDM and health & safety requirements, contributing to improved design methods and new technologies.

Qualifications

• Understanding of construction and lifecycle of design projects.
• Awareness of CDM regulations and safe design delivery.
• Able to interpret utility drawings; water mains design knowledge beneficial.
• Proficient with GIS or AutoCAD; proficient with Outlook/Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver completed designs in line with approved scheme programmes.
• Support Project Manager by facilitating the design process.
• Manage administration and organisation of project files and documents.
• Liaise with teams, stakeholders and third parties to move projects forward.
• Prepare design packages that comply with CDM and safety requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design practices and adopt new technologies.
• DBS check and drug/alcohol testing may be required.
