Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Design Manager to coordinate multidisciplinary design activities for water and wastewater projects across the UK & Ireland. You will manage design packages, track progress and resolve technical or delivery issues to support successful delivery, commissioning and operation.

The role requires practical understanding of design interactions with construction, operations and maintenance, as well as experience with NEC contracts and CDM.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating the design or engineering delivery of water projects.
• Managing defined design packages or workstreams with scope, programme, interfaces, deliverables, assurance and change.
• Practical understanding of how design interacts with construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Design & Build contracts and CDM requirements.
• Experience in NEC3/NEC4 delivery environments and change control.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary detailed design activities across water and wastewater projects.
• Track progress, coordinate inputs and resolve technical or delivery issues.
• Work with construction and commissioning teams to ensure buildability, sequencing and safety are reflected in design.
• Provide direction and support to design teams while maintaining alignment with programme and cost.
