Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is recruiting an experienced Design Manager to lead design activities for overhead line projects in Scotland. You will coordinate bid and live project design, ensuring safe, compliant and integrated solutions while collaborating with clients, consultants, and delivery teams.

You will drive innovation, quality and best practices, manage design risk, and support value engineering within the Energy Business Unit.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering design management across bid and live projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating complex design programmes.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and design coordination.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all design activities across tender and project delivery stages.
• Establish and manage design resources and team structures.
• Provide a professional design management service to clients, partners and suppliers.
• Develop and implement design strategies to support delivery and business objectives.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement throughout the design process.
• Coordinate design activities through all project stages and ensure full integration.
