Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure in Swynnerton, England, seeks an OHL Foreman to lead on-site delivery, supervise crew and subcontractors, and ensure safe, compliant execution of overhead line projects. You will coordinate day-to-day site operations, report progress, manage quality, plan resources, and balance incentives with strict adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Previous overhead lines experience essential (Foreman/Chargehand).
• Ability to work in a team environment across a project, site or area.
• Strong supervision skills with ability to motivate small teams.
• Good planning and time management skills.
• Ability to contribute to meeting standards and specifications.
• Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team.
• Specialist knowledge in chosen field.
• Good writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience on National Grid or Scottish Power works.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site personnel and subcontractors.
• Report all relevant site activities and manage the quality of work performed.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day operations of the site.
• Ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
• Control and monitor all activities on site.
• Support the achievement of perfect delivery.
• Plan and review overall status of projects with the project manager, construction manager and project engineer.
• Ensure resources are effectively utilised to achieve timely completion.
• Deliver toolbox talks and daily task briefings.
• Promptly off‑hire hired‑in plant and equipment after task completion.
• Provide relevant documentation to the project manager or authorities.
• Identify and record possible variations to the contract and notify management.
