Caddick Construction Limited is seeking an experienced Design Manager to oversee the preconstruction design on multiple East Midlands projects. You will coordinate with architects, engineers and clients to deliver compliant, cost-effective designs on time.

The role requires proven main contractor experience in design and build, refurbishment, and strong knowledge of CDM and Building Regulations. You will lead the design team and ensure quality control across projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager for a main contractor.
• Experience in design and build, new build and refurbishment projects.
• Good knowledge of current CDM and Building Regulations.
• Experience of managing document management systems.
• Oversee preconstruction design and ensure client specifications and regulations are met.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to create cost-effective designs.
• Maintain clear communication with the client team on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preconstruction phase, ensuring designs meet client specs and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders to create efficient designs.
• Manage the project design budget and timeline.
• Liaise with client teams across multiple projects to update on progress.
• Lead design team meetings and provide updates to senior management.
• Ensure projects adhere to standards and regulations and maintain quality control.
