Job summary

Breakthrough Consulting Limited is recruiting a Design Manager in Kent to lead design development for tendered projects and manage the design process on live schemes. This role may suit a Design Coordinator stepping up, with ambition to grow into a Senior Design Manager position.

The successful candidate will coordinate multiple design disciplines, work closely with construction teams, and contribute to delivering high quality client solutions while supporting profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

Worked for a main contractor on projects from £5M to £20M
Experience across new build & refurbishment
Experience in schools, commercial, leisure, luxury housing
Passion for construction
Willingness to learn and improve

Responsibilities

Preconstruction: support tender development as part of the bid team.
Delivery: identify design opportunities and coordinate solutions.
Commercial awareness: work with QS to drive profitability.
Team coordination: lead design parties to deliver optimal client design and project outcomes.
Manage the process: ensure project records are maintained
