Job summary

Hunter Selection Limited is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead a small design team and ensure projects run smoothly by providing practical technical guidance. The role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing or construction environment, with a proven track record delivering engineered products from concept to manufacture.

Qualifications

Strong design experience within manufacturing, construction or related engineering environments.
Strong design experience with a focus on Design for Manufacture (DfM).
Experience delivering engineered products from concept through to manufacture.
Strong technical design background within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Lead, Lead and mentor a team of 2 Design Engineers, managing workload and project delivery.
Act as the key link between Design, Manufacturing, Projects, Procurement and Installation.
Lead client design reviews and provide technical guidance throughout projects.
Ensure designs are accurate, compliant and optimised for manufacture before release.
Oversee BIM, Revit, QA, document control and design standards.
Drive continuous improvement across processes, performance and the wider design function.
