Job summary

Detail 2 Limited is seeking a Design Manager (Construction) to lead the design process for large-scale projects from post-tender through to completion. The role is hybrid with the head office in Slough and a requirement for a full driving licence.

You'll bring civil/structural engineering, architecture or design management background, strong organisational and stakeholder-management skills, and experience with BIM workflows.

Qualifications

• Lead design phase from post-tender to handover on multi-storey projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams, architects, engineers and partners.

• Identify and mitigate design risks across the lifecycle.
• Clearly communicate design requirements to multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure design objectives align with construction delivery.
• Support collaboration among architects, engineers and contractors.
• Oversee design output to meet technical and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular design reviews and site visits.
• Maintain compliant design documentation.
• Engage with client to interpret project vision and requirements.
• Provide design solutions balancing client needs with regulations.
• Attention to detail and proactive communication.
