Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a Design Manager for a near-Reading location, covering M4 Corridor work including NHS, SEN schools and life sciences schemes between £25m and £90m on JCT and NEC forms.

The role involves early involvement at tender, leading information flow between client, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, and taking schemes from tender through to site handover. The firm offers hybrid working, strong training, and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Design Manager on major projects (>£10m) with D&B and framework exposure.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate between client, consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead on tender and bid stage with estimating and commercial teams.
• Manage design on site with project manager and delivery teams.
• Handle RFIs, change processes, CDM regulations through to handover.
• Identify opportunities and potential issues in D&B and framework projects.
