Job summary

Fawkes & Reece in Wiltshire seeks a Design Coordinator/Design Manager to drive design development for a multi-phase MOJ project on site. You will report to the Senior Design Manager and work with preconstruction and construction teams to manage information flow from preconstruction through to construction.

The role requires an Engineering/Construction delivery or Architecture background, strong technical and commercial knowledge, and excellent communication and planning skills.

Qualifications

• Background in Engineering, Construction delivery or Architecture.
• Excellent technical and commercial knowledge.
• Strong planning and problem solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage design development for packages of works.
• Manage consultant design team and liaise with client, architect and construction teams.
• Agree information required schedule and ensure key dates are met.
• Coordinate planning permissions with local authorities.
• Review design information for build-ability and compliance.
• Identify value engineering opportunities where appropriate.
• Proactively resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of design information.
