Job summary

Fawkes and Reece in Wiltshire are seeking a Design Coordinator/Design Manager to lead design development for a multi-phase MOJ project. You will report to the Senior Design Manager and coordinate with preconstruction and construction teams on site, balancing office and field duties.

This role requires an engineering or architectural background, strong technical and commercial awareness, and proven delivery on complex schemes for a main contractor.

Qualifications

• Engineering or architectural background with strong technical and commercial knowledge.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience delivering projects for a main contractor in design coordination or design management.

Responsibilities

• Manage design development for packages of works.
• Lead consultant design team and coordinate interfaces.
• Liaise with client, architect, consultants and construction teams.
• Ensure information required schedules and key dates are met.
• Engage with local authorities to secure planning permissions.
• Review design information for buildability, compliance and budget.
• Identify value engineering opportunities.
• Drive timely delivery of design information for procurement and construction.
• Resolve issues proactively.
