Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead design management on a major £150m+ project in West London.

You will coordinate civil engineering and infrastructure design packages, manage multidisciplinary design teams, BIM/CDE processes, and ensure design delivery meets programme, quality and commercial targets. This is a high-profile role requiring collaboration with consultants and subcontractors to drive design excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within a main contractor environment.
• Strong experience coordinating civil engineering, infrastructure or complex technical works packages.
• Demonstrable experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the design management process, ensuring designs are coordinated, compliant and delivered in line with project requirements.
• Develop and manage design programmes, monitoring progress against key milestones and addressing potential delays.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, external consultants and specialist subcontractors.
• Manage technical submissions, design reviews, approvals and the resolution of design-related issues.
• Oversee BIM coordination, information management and Common Data Environment (CDE) processes in line with ISO 19650.
• Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements, CDM regulations and project-specific standards.
