Job summary

Bouygues UK Limited is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join the Building Safety team on projects across the region. The role could be based from our Bristol or Cardiff office, focusing on design that complies with contractual and statutory requirements while meeting cost and buildability targets.

You will lead the design process, coordinate with clients and design consultants, and work with the site team to develop design packages and procurement strategies ensuring on-time delivery and

Qualifications

• Experience leading design teams across preconstruction and construction phases.
• Strong knowledge of façade and exterior design requirements.
• Fire safety design experience on construction projects.
• Experience coordinating with main contractors and design consultants.
• Understanding of the Design & Build process and planning permissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process across preconstruction and construction phases.
• Oversee design consultants to ensure compliance, buildability and efficiency.
• Act as liaison between client, consultants, project teams and site management.
• Coordinate preparation, review and sign-off of all design documentation.
