Job summary

Reinforced Recruitment is seeking a Design Manager for a reputable North West London construction contractor. The role oversees design across up to two projects, driving coordination with clients, consultants and site teams to deliver buildable, on-program designs.

Based in Pinner with a hybrid pattern, you will lead design management from pre-construction through delivery, resolve technical challenges and maintain clear communication across the project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality schemes

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Design Manager within construction.
• Architectural Technicians with design coordination experience encouraged.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, and buildability.
• Experience coordinating consultants, clients and internal teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
• Proactive with ability to manage multiple priorities and keep projects moving.

Design Manager

Location: Pinner, North West London (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Package

An established and growing construction contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the design process across up to two projects, ensuring designs are coordinated, buildable and delivered on programme.

Based from the company's office in Pinner with a hybrid working pattern, you'll work closely with clients, consultants and site teams to drive the design process from pre-construction through to project delivery, resolving technical challenges and ensuring projects progress smoothly onto site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process across up to two projects.


• Coordinate consultants, clients and internal teams to keep designs on programme.


• Drive the design programme to support construction start dates.


• Review drawings and technical information to ensure buildability.

About You

• Previous experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry, or an Architectural Technician looking to step into a Design Manager role.


• Architectural Technicians with strong technical knowledge and some experience coordinating or managing the design process are encouraged to apply.


• Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing and buildability.


• Experience coordinating consultants, clients and internal teams.


• Excellent problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.


• Proactive with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep projects moving forward.
