Job summary

Tradeline Recruitment is seeking a Design Manager to lead the design process from pre-construction through to project completion in a varied portfolio including commercial and education sectors. You will coordinate consultant design teams, ensure builds are compliant, and deliver to programme and budget under the direction of the Contracts Director.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent organisation and communication skills, with experience in NEC3/4, JCT contracts and BIM/Revit

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' design management experience with a main contractor.
• HNC/HND or degree in Architecture, Building Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Design Manager / Coordinator - Up to 75,000 - Luton (Remote as well)

Our established and award winning Main Contracting client are looking to recruit a Design Manager to join their established Technical Team, reporting into the Contracts Director.

As Design Manager you will lead and manage the design process from pre-construction through to completion, coordinating consultant design teams and ensuring designs are technically compliant, buildable and delivered in line with the project programme, budget and client requirements.

The role offers an excellent variety of work across project sectors including commercial, education, industrial, heritage, blue light and leisure sectors in the public and private sectors, with values ranging from 1m to 20m.

Skills & Experience

• Strong technical knowledge across a range of construction methods and building types
• Working knowledge of NEC3/4 and JCT forms of contract
• Experience of design management on main contracts projects up to 15m in value
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 and the Building Safety Act
• Confident managing multiple design consultants and stakeholders simultaneously
• Familiarity with BIM/Revit-based design coordination (desirable)
• A leader of people with excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills
