Job summary

Knightwood Associates Limited is seeking a Design Manager to lead on a prime residential scheme in NW London. The role is primarily site based, focusing on mixed tenure, residential developments and high-rise RC frame with a Tier 1 contractor.

You will interrogate designs, liaise with authorities, chair Design Team meetings, and deliver approvals within budgets, while ensuring project milestones and quality standards are met. Salary up to £87k plus Travel, Bonus, Pension and Bupa.

Qualifications

• Experience as design manager or senior coordinator in contractors or developers.
• Experience with residential or mixed-use schemes and RC frame.
• HNC or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to deliver design approvals within budgets.

Design Manager, NW London

A knowledgeable Design Manager is sought to join an expanding Tier 1 contractor to work on a prime residential scheme, set to regenerate a desirable London Location. This role is primarily site based, working with a focus on mixed tenure, residential developments and high-rise RC frame within a highly reputable contractor / developer.
The main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Able to interrogate the design to ensure its effectiveness
• Liaising with appropriate authorities
• Chair and minute Design Team meetings
• Identifying and resolving any technical and design construction issues that may arise
• Delivering technical design approvals for the projects
• Working within established budgets
• Carrying out site inspections

Ideal candidates for this role will have previous experience within similar technical or design manager roles with contractors or developers and will have a minimum qualification of HNC or equivalent. Senior Technical/Design Co-ordinators looking to progress will also be considered.
Architects or technologists with experience jobrunning residential or mixed use schemes may also suit. The successful candidate will be conversant in RC frame, medium/high-rise developments.
