Job summary

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions in the UK is seeking an experienced Design Lead/Coordinator to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering designs within a major Welsh Water framework. The role is based in St. Asaph with a flexible hybrid pattern (about 2-4 days on-site).

You will lead design activities across projects, ensure timely delivery, and collaborate with delivery teams within a Design & Build water environment. Strong coordination and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Design Lead, Design Coordinator or similar engineering role.
• Strong experience within the water industry.
• Previous experience working in a Design & Build environment.
• Engineering background - specific discipline is not essential.
• Experience coordinating engineering designs across projects.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Confidence managing multiple design activities and priorities.
• Ability to attend the St. Asaph office approximately 2-4 days per week.
• Experience coordinating a portfolio or batch of water projects would be particularly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating design activities across individual projects or a portfolio of projects.
• Managing the delivery and integration of multidisciplinary engineering designs.
• Working within a Design & Build water environment.
• Coordinating engineers and wider project effectively in line with project requirements.
• Ensuring designs progress effectively in line with project requirements.
• Supporting the resolution of design issues throughout project delivery.
• Assisting directly with engineering design activities where required.
• Working closely with project and delivery teams across the Welsh Water framework.
