Job summary

MK Test Systems is seeking a Design Engineering Manager to lead the Design Engineering team, ensuring robust design outputs and effective governance across product development and lifecycle support. You will drive capability development, manage resources, and collaborate across Electronics, Embedded, Software, and Manufacturing disciplines.

The role reports to the Engineering Director and focuses on recruitment, development of graduates, and continuous improvement in design methods,

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience leading engineers in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• Track record in design engineering within high-technology or industrial contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Design Engineering team to meet business and project demands.
• Provide line management, objectives, and performance feedback.
• Develop pathways for technical growth and career progression for engineers.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and graduate development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective interfaces and hand-offs.
