Job summary

Recruit Engineering seeks a Manager - Mechanical Design & Engineering to lead the local engineering team and oversee day-to-day performance within a wider UK and global function. Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience leading technical teams with a collaborative approach.
• Experience in engineering/project environments.
• Strong organisational and planning capability.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee local engineering projects and ensure delivery.
• Provide guidance on technical risks and escalate issues as needed.
• Support estimating, bidding and early project consultation.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews and development discussions.
• Coach and develop the team, manage timesheets, expenses and resource planning.
• Represent the team in local leadership forums.
