Job summary

Mabey Hire in Dewsbury is seeking a Design Engineer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for producing temporary works designs and checks for excavation support, propping, formwork and falsework.

The role suits an engineer with a few years post graduate experience in structures or geotechnical design, with CDM 2019 knowledge. There is room to grow within a supportive, forward-thinking company.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience designing temporary works, specifically Cofferdams or Building Refurbishment.
• A HND or degree in civil/structural engineering.
• The ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
• Good understanding of CDM 2019.
• Experience utilising AutoCAD and/or REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Prepare temporary works designs for our products.
• Check designs and drawings in accordance with the appropriate standards.
• Attend client meetings and carry out site visits.
• Review design briefs provided by the sales team and provide feedback if more information is required.
• Manage your own workload.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects as agreed by the Engineering Director.
