Qualifications

• Proven experience in refrigeration system design within industrial refrigeration/ammonia environments.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, thermodynamics, process cooling and system calculations.
• Experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or process cooling sectors.
• Ability to design complex refrigeration systems for large-scale/high-value projects.
• Proficiency with refrigeration design software and engineering calculations.
• Good understanding of industry compliance standards and regulations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.

Refrigeration Systems Design Engineer

£60,000-£80,000 + Private Medical + Pension, 26 days holiday

A leading specialist within industrial refrigeration solutions is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Systems Design Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale projects across the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Systems Design Engineer to work across high-value industrial refrigeration, chiller and cooling projects exceeding £1M across food, bev, process and pharma based projects, delivering bespoke and energy efficient solutions for complex industrial applications.

The role offers a high level of autonomy, remote working flexibility, and the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects within a growing and highly respected business.

The Role

• Full design and technical engineering of industrial refrigeration/ ammonia/ NH3 systems for large-scale projects
• Producing detailed refrigeration calculations, equipment selections, and system specifications
• Designing efficient and compliant refrigeration solutions tailored to client requirements
