Job summary

KBM Resourcing Ltd. is recruiting a Design Engineer for an Oil and Gas Engineering Company based in Dundee. You will design equipment, develop tools, and mentor junior staff within a busy engineering environment.

You will prepare drawings, calculations, specifications, and procedures, ensure ISO 9000 compliance, and provide technical support to stakeholders. The role involves meetings, site visits, and continuous improvement activities in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Experience with ANSYS and MathCAD.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000:2000 quality standards.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods and design methodology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate engineering documentation, including drawings, calculations, specifications, and procedures, to support product manufacture.
• Develop and maintain effective design tools using departmental software.
• Mentor and train junior engineering staff.
• Review and approve colleagues' designs, drawings, calculations, and procedures.
• Work in accordance with company procedures, ISO 9000 quality standards.
• Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in meetings, training, site visits, and audits.
• Monitor performance against agreed objectives and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Maintain professional conduct in line with company policies and the employee handbook.
