Job summary

Falcon Green is seeking a Design Manager to oversee the management and delivery of design information in line with the agreed programme and deliverable schedule. You will produce design programmes, scopes and responsibility matrices, attend meetings, and ensure compliance with legislation and technical requirements.

• Manage contract specifications, drawings and related documents
• Issue and close out RFIs
• Chair design team meetings with consultants and subcontract designers
• Submit design information to the client team
• Ensure BREEAM compliance where required
• Coordinate information submissions to discharge planning conditions
• Lead design review workshops with consultant and subcontract design teams
• Carry out technical reviews of proposed works
• Coordinate information for Building Control compliance
• Manage design process and information release schedules
• Provide input to procurement process
• Assist with O&M Health and Safety file
• Provide design and technical support to project management teams
• Review and advise on value engineering opportunities
• Promote teamwork and maintain strong external relationships
• Ensure Health & Safety policy compliance and risk assessments
• Encourage and develop team performance with feedback
• Any other duties consistent with Design Manager role
