Job summary

Simon Acres Group is seeking an experienced Design Consultant/Mentor for UK-wide kitchen renovations. You will conduct in-home design consultations, tailor solutions to clients’ goals, and mentor Graduate Design Consultants while developing toward leadership.

You'll benefit from pre-qualified appointments, a strong earning potential with £70k-£75k OTE in the first year, and a base of £35k-£40k plus uncapped commission, with London weighting where applicable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within the kitchen design or home improvement sector.

• UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Willingness to travel across the designated territory.
• Good IT skills and CRM familiarity.

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 Basic (London Weighting Available) + Uncapped Commission + Talent Builder Bonus Scheme

In addition to managing your own portfolio of customers, you'll also mentor a small group of Graduate Design Consultants, helping to develop the next generation of talent while taking your first steps towards leadership.

All appointments are pre-qualified and pre-booked , allowing you to focus entirely on delivering first-class consultations. There is no cold calling or high-pressure selling —success is built on professionalism, expertise and customer trust.

The Role

As a Design Consultant, you'll meet customers in their homes, understand their renovation goals and recommend tailored kitchen solutions that meet their needs and budget. From the initial consultation through to project completion, you'll deliver an outstanding customer journey while building long-term relationships and achieving impressive earning potential.

Alongside your own sales activity, you'll provide ongoing support and guidance to Graduate Design Consultants, helping them develop confidence, product knowledge and commercial skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-arranged in-home design consultations with prospective customers, and understand customer requirements and recommend tailored kitchen renovation solutions
• Prepare straightforward kitchen designs using the company's training and systems. Present products, pricing and recommendations in a professional, consultative manner
• Manage your own sales pipeline, customer communications and follow-up activity
• Deliver and exceed monthly sales and performance objectives
• Represent our client professionally throughout the customer journey
• Maintain accurate customer records using the CRM system
• Promote your territory through appropriate social media activity (full training provided)
• Liaise closely with installation teams to ensure projects run smoothly
• Mentor and support a small number of Graduate Design Consultants
• Share best practice and contribute to the development of less experienced colleagues

• Proven experience within the kitchen design or home improvement sector
• A consultative sales approach with excellent relationship-building skills
• Strong communication and presentation abilities
• Commercial awareness with a track record of achieving sales targets
• Self-motivation and the ability to manage your own workload effectively
• A positive, resilient and professional attitude
• Good IT skills and experience using CRM systems
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Flexibility to travel throughout your designated territory, including occasional overnight stays where required
