Job summary

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a substantive dermatology consultant to care for inpatients and outpatients across the Trust. The post includes on-call duties from 9am to 5pm, supporting wards, the emergency department and registrars, and teaching Oxford undergraduate medical students.

The role also involves teaching F1/F2s and core trainees, developing dermatology services across multiple sites, and contributing to governance, audits, and annual appraisal processes.

Qualifications

• Must be fully GMC registered or eligible within 6 months of CCST.
• Membership of BAD or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide dermatology services in inpatient and outpatient settings with colleagues.
• Cover on-call dermatology from 9am to 5pm and advise wards, ED, and registrar.
• Teach Oxford undergraduate medical students.
• Contribute to teaching for F1/F2, core trainees and registrars.
• Develop dermatology services across the Trust and associated sites.
• Participate in clinical governance and monthly meetings.
• Contribute to medical audit and portfolio for annual appraisal.
• Participate in departmental meetings and business activities.
