Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Derivative Sales Analyst on the Institutional team based in the United Kingdom. You will own and grow relationships with top VIP derivatives traders across futures, options, and perpetuals, driving volume and engagement.

You will source new high-value traders, re-engage dormant accounts, and bring structured market insights to Product, Risk, and Marketing to shape Coinbase Advanced trading offerings. A data-driven approach and existing institutional network are valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in sales or BD in financial services, trading or crypto.
• Fluency with derivatives products (futures, options, perps) in tradFi or crypto.
• Data-driven with dashboards, CRMs, and basic analytics.
• Background in finance, economics, or quantitative field, or equivalent experience.

• Own and grow relationships with top VIP derivatives traders, driving volume and engagement.
• Source and convert new high-value traders from competitor venues; re-engage dormant accounts.
• Monitor market structure, client flows, and competitor offerings to identify upsell opportunities and provide insights to Product/Risk/Marketing.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast; document interactions in CRM tooling.
• Reactivate dormant traders using data-driven incentives to restore volume.
• Build AI-powered workflows for pipeline prioritization and outreach personalization.

As a Derivative Sales Analyst on the Institutional team, you'll own and grow relationships with Coinbase's top VIP derivatives traders, driving volume across futures, options, and perpetuals. You'll source new high-value traders from competitor venues, re‑engage dormant accounts, and bring structured market and client insights back to Product, Risk, and Marketing to shape Coinbase Advanced trading offerings.

What you'll do:

• Own and grow relationships with top VIP derivatives traders on Coinbase, driving increased trading volume, deepening engagement, and expanding adoption of advanced trading products.
• Source and convert new high-value derivatives traders from competitor venues through targeted outbound campaigns, market positioning, and relationship-building.
• Monitor derivatives market structure, client flows, and competitor offerings to identify upsell opportunities, inform pricing and product feedback, and deliver structured insights to Product, Risk, and Marketing.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast for your book, reporting on key KPIs (volume, active traders, winbacks, competitor migration) and documenting client interactions through CRM tooling.
• Reactivate previously dormant top traders using data-driven tools and bespoke incentives to restore sustained volume.
• Build and refine AI-powered workflows for pipeline prioritization, client segmentation, and outreach personalization to scale coverage across your book.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of sales or business development experience in financial services, trading, or crypto, with a track record of hitting or exceeding revenue and volume targets.
• Demonstrated fluency in derivatives products (futures, options, perps) in traditional finance or crypto markets, evidenced by prior trading desk, brokerage, or exchange experience.
• Data-driven operating style with experience using dashboards, CRMs, and basic analytics to segment books, identify opportunities, and prioritize outreach.
• Background in business, finance, economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience working directly with trading clients.
• Pre-existing network of active institutional derivatives traders you can bring to the platform on day one is preferred.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
