Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Deputy Ward Manager for our Female Acute Shakespeare Ward. You will provide clinical leadership, develop staff, and maintain high professional standards to ensure excellent patient care.

You will rotate across specialty areas, cover 24/7 shifts, deputise for the Ward Manager when required, support audits, supervision and monitoring, and help implement local and national strategies aligned with our Trust values.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and motivate staff to develop skills while maintaining high professional standards.
• Rotate across specialty areas and cover shifts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Deputise for the Ward Manager when required and support audits, supervision and monitoring of staff.
• Lead the nursing team in delivering high quality mental health care.
• Promote teamwork, integrity, accountability, excellence and compassion within the clinical team.
