An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Ward Manager/Charge Nurse to work in an exceptional hospital based in Hassocks, West Sussex. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers.

This hospital offers high-quality care across various service lines including low secure, PICU, locked rehabilitation (Personality Disorder), and acute care.

Requirements: To be considered, you must be qualified as an RMN or RNLD Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the nursing team on the ward and manage shifts.
2. Deputise for the Ward Manager, providing cover and assisting with daily ward and team management.
3. Provide high-quality care and lead by example for junior staff.
4. Develop therapeutic relationships to enhance patient engagement.
5. Follow all codes of conduct, standards, legislation, respecting rights and promoting ethical practice.
6. Contribute to patient assessments, care planning, and monitor progress.
7. Mentor, support, and supervise student nurses and team members.
8. Promote professional development within the team.
9. Perform sit coordination duties as required.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

1. Experience in a supervisory role.
2. At least 3 years post-registration experience.
3. Ability to assess and teach junior staff.
4. Proven ability to coordinate care, prioritize tasks, and manage health and safety issues.
5. Drive to learn and develop.
6. Commitment to patient-centered, values-based, and evidence-based practice.

Salary & Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive an excellent salary of GBP43,014 - GBP46,314 per annum DOE. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. Benefits include:
