We are a specialist ADHD diagnosis and treatment clinic operating throughout the United Kingdom. We are more than a diagnosis service; we provide bespoke assessment and treatment packages aimed at helping patients reach their full potential. As an integral part of our organization, The ADHD Clinician (non-medical prescriber) will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and formulating and monitoring treatment plans. You should possess a strong understanding of evidence-based practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting, providing essential services to individuals seeking support for ADHD.

Job Summary:

Clinicians working with ADHD360 will be part of a dedicated team committed to patient excellence, delivering treatment with passion, ownership, and commitment. As an integral part of our organization, The ADHD Clinician will conduct comprehensive assessments, and formulate and monitor treatment plans. You should have a strong understanding of evidence-based practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting, providing essential services to individuals seeking support for ADHD.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate adults and young people for ADHD, considering potential co-occurring conditions to inform diagnostic decisions.
  • Apply clinical judgment and experience to make treatment decisions, utilizing advanced skills in managing ADHD in adults and young people.
  • Exercise independent professional responsibility for diagnostic decision-making within your competence, while receiving monthly supervision from Team Leads.
  • You will practice as a non-medical prescriber (independent/supplementary prescribing) to develop and implement treatment and titration plans, ensuring physical observations are obtained and reviewed (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse), and ensuring treatment decisions are safe and in accordance with NICE guidelines and organizational policies.
  • You will support the patient throughout their treatment journey, conducting regular follow-ups until they reach stability and optimization.
  • Perform patient risk assessments and review safeguarding needs in conjunction with treatment strategies during the patient journey. ADHD 360 has patients across the lifespan, and we must always be aware of our responsibilities regarding safeguarding adults and young people in our care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records on Chrysalis and associated clinical templates, adhering to professional record-keeping requirements.
  • Ensure prescriptions are written according to legal requirements for controlled and non-controlled drugs, recording them in the Chrysalis Log and following ADHD360 policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate understanding and adherence to security measures related to prescription management.
  • Participate in regular supervision, assessments, appraisals, and team meetings/case discussions.
  • Recognize and report clinical incidents and near misses to your team lead, supporting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Participate in investigations as required.
  • Ensure completion of mandatory training and clinical supervision to maintain independent prescribing status. Engage in CPD activities provided by ADHD 360.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified nurse, with current UK registration and PIN with the NMC (Essential)
  • Qualified Non-medical Prescriber (NMP) with current registration (Essential)
  • Specialist ADHD Nurse with experience (Desirable)
  • Ability to work unsupervised and independently within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct (Essential)
  • Expert understanding of pharmaceutical treatment options for ADHD (Desirable)
  • Ability to connect with and support adults and young people
  • Familiarity with EPR systems
  • Willingness to learn and follow clinic standards of practice
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff and patients
  • Sufficient IT skills for remote assessments
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Professional approach aligned with regulatory expectations
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage workload
