Job summary

Priory Hospital Dewsbury is seeking a Deputy Ward Manager to join the Jubilee Ward on a full-time basis. The role is site-based, with 40 hours per week, and requires active RMN registration with the NMC and revalidation.

Experienced nurses only, with leadership and supervision skills, are encouraged to apply. You will work alongside the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team to deliver high standards of care, support staff development, and enhance the patient journey within a safe therapeutic

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervision training or experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and leadership intent.
• Proficient computer and documentation skills.

This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or preceptorship nurses.
Priory Hospital Dewsbury is looking to recruit a Deputy Ward Manager to join the team on the Jubilee Ward. This is a full time position of 40 hours per week.

As Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the effective leadership and day-to-day management of the ward. Working alongside the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team, you will help drive high standards of clinical care, promote a positive patient experience, and support the development of a motivated and skilled workforce.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate nurse to develop their leadership skills, influence service delivery, and make a meaningful difference to the lives of those in our care.

What you’ll bring to the role

• Active Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council, meeting the requirements of Revalidation (RMN qualified)
• Trained Assessor/Supervisor
• Clinical Supervision experience essential, training desirable
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development and intent to maintain and develop Continued professional development and leadership
• Good computer skills
