Job Advert Location Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Ward Manager on one of our acute wards.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate for this role will:

1. Provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager.
2. Have a degree of clinical experience and leadership that provides expertise and confidence to the nursing team and ward overall.
3. Have defined delegated responsibilities from the ward manager, protected time for deputy ward manager duties and have supervisory responsibilities for an agreed group of staff.

Minimum Requirements

To be successful as Deputy Ward Manager, you'll need:

1. First level Registered Nurse (RMN)
2. Clinical supervision experience is essential, training is desirable
3. Evidence of CPD and intent to maintain and develop CPD and leadership.
4. Good computer skills
5. Experience in Acute Mental Health
6. At least 3 years, or equivalent post registration experience.
7. Mentorship desirable however training could be provided
