Job summary

The Guardian in London is seeking a deputy training editor, apprenticeships to lead the operational delivery of our new digital journalist scheme and an apprenticeship programme.

You will oversee external provider relationships, manage a small team, and partner with editorial and HR to design, deliver and monitor training for cohorts.

This is a full-time, two-year fixed-term contract or internal secondment with development opportunities in a diverse newsroom.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering apprenticeship programmes or similar learning initiatives.
• Understanding of high editorial standards and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational delivery of the Guardian digital journalist apprenticeship scheme.
• Manage external training provider relationships and internal training teams.
• Coordination of onboarding, reviews and cohort community-building.
• Partner with editorial and HR to deliver targeted training and monitor progress.
