Milton Keynes City Council is recruiting a Deputy Team Manager for our Adult Social Care service. You will lead, supervise and support colleagues to deliver safe, timely discharges while confidently managing complex risk.

Your expertise in Social Work and Continuing Healthcare legislation will help the team make informed, person-centred decisions. You will work closely with the Team Manager and health partners to support positive outcomes for people and their carers.

Qualifications

Essential social work qualification and registration.
Strong knowledge of Adult Social Care and Continuing Healthcare legislation.
Experience delivering frontline services and leading teams.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and excellent communication.
Collaborative approach with health partners and other agencies.

Responsibilities

Lead, supervise and support colleagues to deliver safe, timely discharges and manage complex risk.
Monitor referrals, allocate work and ensure timely responses within agreed timescales.
Review and authorise social work assessments, care plans, reviews and safeguarding enquiries.
Coordinate work, monitor caseloads and provide professional guidance to social workers and assistants.
Represent Milton Keynes City Council in meetings with social care, health and community partners.
