Job summary

Milton Keynes City Council is recruiting two Senior Social Workers to join the Adult Social Care, Mental Health & Complex Needs team. You will support adults with mental health needs and complex circumstances, conducting strengths-based assessments and coordinating services to promote independence and safety.

You will work as part of a skilled team of social workers and support staff, with opportunities for development and professional supervision within the Care Act framework.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience in strengths-based practice with adults with mental health needs.
• Ability to assess, risk manage and coordinate cases within legal frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate complex cases with high risk and safeguarding enquiries.
• Undertake strengths-based assessments and develop outcome-focused support plans.
• Collaborate with families, health professionals and partners to achieve positive outcomes.
• Assess and manage risk while following relevant legislation and policy.
• Maintain accurate case records and reports within set timescales.
• Engage in reflective supervision and continuous professional development.
