Job summary

Elmtree Learning Partnership is seeking a Deputy Site Lead to support the day-to-day running of our alternative provision for secondary-aged learners in Weston-super-Mare. You will help deliver high-quality education and pastoral support in a safe, nurturing environment.

You will work with the Site Lead to oversee safeguarding duties, develop individual learning plans and coordinate EHCP reviews, ensuring compliance and a positive learning experience for vulnerable learners.

Qualifications

• Experience in a higher-level education support or pastoral leadership role.
• Experience as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) or strong safeguarding knowledge.
• Experience with secondary-aged learners, including SEND/SEMH in alternative provision.
• Knowledge of EHCP processes, Annual Reviews and multi-agency working.
• Understanding of behaviour support, inclusion and trauma-informed practice.
• Experience supporting curriculum delivery and educational planning.

Responsibilities

• Support referral and induction processes for new students.
• Coordinate and contribute to EHCP reviews and annual reviews.
• Support development and monitoring of individual learning plans and targets.
• Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and assist safeguarding processes.
• Monitor site health, safety, and statutory responsibilities.
• Lead and support risk assessments for students and site.
