An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join the senior nursing team on SRU as a Deputy Ward Manager, available on either a 6-month secondment or a permanent basis. The Specialist Receiving Unit (SRU) is an admissions area specializing in Oncology, Haematology, Renal, and Infectious Diseases. It is a short-stay unit with a high patient turnover, requiring the candidate to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment while ensuring the safe transfer of patients to base wards.

We are looking for:

• An enthusiastic, dynamic, and committed Deputy Ward Manager.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Confidence in dealing with members of the public and multidisciplinary teams.
• Recent experience in an acute care environment.
• Ability to support staff and undertake Band 6 management duties.
