Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited in Sheffield is seeking a Deputy Shop Manager to join a busy retail food business. You will be based at one location and cover others as needed, supporting Shop Managers to run smooth, customer‑focused operations.

We’re looking for people with retail, hospitality or food service experience who can lead teams, ensure food safety and high standards, and help drive sales across multiple sites. Full‑time hours are available with regular Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, hospitality, catering or food service.
• Supervisory or team‑leading experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Positive, hands‑on attitude for fast‑paced environments.
• Willingness to work across multiple Sheffield locations.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of retail food outlets.
• Provide management and supervisory cover during holidays, absences, and busy periods.
• Lead, motivate, and support team members.
• Assist with food preparation and serving customers.
• Prepare hot and cold food products and barista-style drinks.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and presentation.
• Support stock control, ordering, and waste management.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally.
• Complete daily operational checks and records.
• Open and close shops when required.
• Work closely with management to support sales and operational performance.
