Job summary

Swanton Care & Community Ltd seeks a dedicated Deputy Service Manager to lead two supported living services in Doune and Falkirk, Scotland, working alongside the Registered Manager to drive high standards of care and outcomes for people we support.

You will lead by example, inspire teams, and ensure person-centred support remains at the heart of everything we do, across day-to-day operations and service improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a leadership role within health and social care.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop others.
• Commitment to delivering person-centred support.
• Understanding of quality, safeguarding and governance responsibilities.

About the Role

As Deputy Service Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day leadership and success of your services. You'll support the Registered Manager to deliver outstanding care and support, develop high-performing teams, maintain excellent quality standards, and drive positive outcomes for the people we support.

You'll be someone who leads by example, inspires confidence, and brings energy, compassion and accountability to everything you do.

What You'll Do

• Lead, motivate and develop a dedicated team to provide high-quality, person-centred support
• Promote a positive culture where our values are lived every day
• Support recruitment, induction, training, supervision and performance development
• Ensure people we support are empowered to achieve their personal goals and aspirations
• Build strong relationships with families, professionals, commissioners and community partners
• Monitor and maintain high standards of quality, compliance and governance
• Support financial performance, budgets, occupancy and resource management
• Manage incidents, complaints and service improvements effectively
• Ensure safe, effective and compassionate support is delivered consistently
• Participate in the on-call rota and provide hands‑on leadership when required
• Help drive continuous improvement and innovation across services

About The Service

We have 2 Supported Living services located in Scotland, providing person-centred care to young adults who have a primary diagnosis of a learning disability and may also have mental health or autism support needs and behaviours that can challenge. Our Services are led by the Registered Manager who has a wealth of experience within the sector; committed and devoted to developing excellence and talent.
