An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a Band 6 Deputy Service Delivery Manager for their Imaging Department. This is an exciting time to undertake this new role within the expanding Imaging Department. The department will be providing a 7 day service operating between the hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. We are looking for a Band 6 Deputy Service Delivery Manager to join our growing A&C team with in the General Imaging department at St Bartholomew’s Hospital.
This is an on-site management role and the successful candidate will lead a team of Imaging Schedulers and Reception staff, whilst being a part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills. The post holder will be required to lead on the day to day running of the A&C team who will work a shift system to cover the 12 hour working/scanning day.
They will support the Service Delivery Manager and General Manger with implementing policy changes, business planning and objectives and service developments to meet capacity/demand fluctuations. They will also ensure that waiting time requirements are met and National RTT/DM01 targets are adhered to.
The successful candidate will need to be a flexible team player who can manage a varied workload to meet set targets, changing deadlines and juggle conflicting priorities. They must be able to work within a confidential environment and adhere to Information Governance procedures.
Strong computer literacy is essential, with a good knowledge of Excel a bonus. The successful candidate will be expected to input, extract and compile complex information from a number of booking and patient tracking systems. Full training will be provided on RISe/PACs. It is essential to have a solid administrative background with good organisational skills. The successful candidate will need to actively demonstrate our WeCare value and behaviours.
The post holder will manage and co-ordinate Imaging administration services within SBH General Imaging and play a key role in the co-ordination of the patient pathway ensuring a smooth and efficient service for the patient through their journey. The postholder will line manage A&C members of staff dealing with all HR and personnel issues as they arise.
To support the Service Delivery Manager and General Manger in the implementation of policy, business planning, business objectives and service developments relating to the administrative function of the SBH General Imaging Service.
Assist in meeting performance management requirements of the services, including quality, waiting time and activity targets. Contribute to operational implementation and achievement of the strategic direction of SBH General Imaging Services at St Bartholomew’s Hospital
