Job summary

The Birley Academy in Sheffield is seeking a passionate Deputy SENDCo to lead SEND provision across the academy, working closely with the SENDCo and senior leaders to improve outcomes for pupils with SEND.

You will champion inclusive education, oversee EHCP processes, and support staff to deliver exceptional classroom practice while coordinating with families and external partners to ensure high aspirations for all learners.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with strong understanding of SEND provision and EHCP processes.
• Committed to removing barriers to learning and championing inclusion.
• Experience leading SEND provision and collaborating with families and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support SENDCo and senior leaders to develop SEND provision across the academy.
• Provide operational leadership for the Integrated Resource.
• Support pupils with communication and interaction needs, including autism.
