Job summary

Belvedere Academy in Liverpool is seeking a Deputy SENCo who will work with the SENCO to lead SEND provision and advance inclusive, aspirational classroom practice across the secondary setting. You will contribute to teaching while supporting staff and pupils to reach their full potential.

The role requires a proven track record in SEND, a strong knowledge of the Code of Practice, and a commitment to safeguarding. Start date after February half term 2027, with permanent, full‑time hours.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering high-quality, inclusive classroom practice in secondary education.
• Experience leading SEND provision alongside SENCO.
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and manage SEND provision with the SENCO.
• Teach 15–20 periods per cycle within a 2‑week, 50‑hour timetable.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers and support student outcomes.
